High school juniors and seniors are invited to come experience a glimpse into the day of a collegiate marching band by participating with us at our annual Spring Game. The day is includes rehearsals focused on musicianship fundamentals, as well as learning the literature for the actual game. There is a provided lunch, a Q&A session about college band (marching and concert), and of course playing during the spring game.
Check-in will begin at 10:30 at Gate H on the south end of Reser Stadium. The game starts at 1pm, and we will likely be finished by 3pm.
Registration is $20, which covers an event T-shirt and lunch that day. There’s no marching involved for this event, so no need to worry if you are coming from a no-marching program. If you play an instrument that isn’t typically owned personally (sousaphone, drumline, mellophone, etc), you can borrow one from us for the day.
